Paris, France – In a powerful demonstration of humanitarian unity, the Non-Profit Organization “Business Incubator Group. World” (BIG. World), led by Alex Bart , with Juan Carlos Izquierdo (Mexico), and Patricia Semprez (USA) collaborated with New York’s Gallery8 NYC , founded by artist and curator Mariano Cinat in 2017, to host a charity weekend in support of Ukrainian children. This impactful event took place in the iconic Carrousel du Louvre during the Art Shopping 34th edition, from October 18-20, 2024. The exhibition featured approximately 70 contemporary artworks, highlighting the creativity and resilience of artists from Eastern Europe and Latin America. Renowned artist and curator Mariano Cinat was invited by the Carrousel du Louvre curators to lead three exhibition booths, presenting 24 artists from seven countries. This remarkable gathering drew thousands of art lovers, collectors, and gallerists from around the world. |
The event's mission extended beyond the art itself, aiming to raise awareness and funds for Ukrainian children affected by ongoing conflicts. Gallery8 NYC chose not to receive 50% of the sales’ proceeds, with artists instead donating up to half of their sales, emphasizing not only their artistic talents but also the urgent humanitarian need. Through this meaningful artistic initiative, the organizers aspired to foster empathy and inspire much-needed support for those in need.
We also express our sincere gratitude to our friend artist Juan Carlos Izquierdo Camus for his incredible help and coordination in this project. Thanks to his talent and sensitive vision, we were able to assemble the best artists team and present works from Mexico in the Carrousel de Louvre on an equal footing with the Eastern European program.
The Carrousel du Louvre art fair weekend served as a vibrant reminder of art's power to create positive change. Visitors were encouraged to appreciate contemporary art and support Ukrainian children through their engagement. The first funds from painting sales have already been sent to Ukrainian organizations, with ongoing contributions from online sales. This non-profit initiative by the Business Incubator Group, founded in 2018, represents a step toward global peace, prosperity, and social assistance.
